White Paw Fern | Live Plants | Davallia Tyermanii | Indoor Outdoor Tropical Foliage | Fuzzy Root Houseplant | Exotic Decorative Greenery | Pet Safe
Because of its small leaf size, the rabbitÕs foot ferns have quickly gained popularity as an ornamental fern. As the rhizomes grow out from the plant, new leaves will sprout from it along the way. These rhizomes or ÔfeetÕ can be fashioned to grow in any direction. Some prefer to let them naturally grow outward and all over the rim of the pot, while some prefer to train them to grow certain directions.
ItÕs also common to grow these plants in a hanging basket. Over time the rhizomes will spread over the sides of the container and attach themselves all over the bottom. The end result could be a hanging basket completely covered in foliage - top to bottom.
They do well in a terrarium range. Comfortable house temperatures are fine. Can be grown outside down to the low teens. Overwatering can be just as harmful for ferns as under-watering. Allow the soil to dry lightly before watering again.
The arched, vigorous foot is covered with pure white hairs-- very furry. The fronds are lacy and deep, rich green. Excellent as a pot plant, outstanding in a hanging basket for a houseplant as survives less than ideal levels of humidity.
The White Rabbit's Foot Fern is native to the Canary Islands and can grow as a terrestrial or epiphyte. It has finely dissected fronds that rise up from its furry, silver rhizomes hence the name "White Rabbit's Foot Fern". Likes bright light but avoid direct sun. Great companion plant to display alongside your bonsai or by itself".
